The St. Marys Lincolns Alumni Group helped celebrate a Lincs’ scoring milestone this past Friday night at the PRC.

The Lincolns and the Alumni Group honoured Chase MacQueen-Spence on-ice, just before a GOHL game against LaSalle Vipers. The Lincs’ captain recently picked up his 184th point to become the new all-time modern-day points leader with the Lincolns — moving past Sean Consitt (2009-2013) who finished his Lincs’ career with 183 points.

Joined by family members on the ice, MacQueen-Spence was presented with a framed newspaper page of Chase setting the new record.

The skilled centreman was also given an Alumni Life Membership and a card from the Alumni Group congratulating him on his recent feat. Making the presentation on behalf of the Alumni committee was Rick Fifield. Fifield was the all-time points leader in the now-defunct Western Jr. ‘B’ Hockey League for 39 years. From 1970 to 1973, the talented right winger collected an amazing 405 points, including 230 goals.

MacQueen-Spence, meanwhile, now has 79 goals, 109 assists and 188 points following weekend action. The 20-year-old from Lambeth received another honour last Friday when he was presented with the Quadro Communications Player-of-the-Month Award for January. The four-year veteran had two goals and eight assists for 10 points last month.

The GOHL was formed in 2007, and all Jr. ‘B’ teams in the province now play under its umbrella.
