Five Malinowski teams (2005-2010) being honoured

There has been a change of venue.
The St. Marys Lincolns’ Alumni Group is honouring five St. Marys Jr. ‘B’ teams that Merlin Malinowski coached from 2005 to 2010.
The celebration will now take place Saturday, March 1, 2025 in the ‘one-third’ portion of the community centre at the PRC. The Alumni committee is currently in the process of contacting players and team officials from those five Lincolns teams (2005 – 2010), who combined for 160 wins. The committee is seeking emails, phone numbers, and addresses so they can reach out to everyone who was involved with those five successful teams.
The average of 32 victories, over that span, shows all five teams were a league contender every season in a competitive nine-team Western Conference. Those St. Marys teams finished first, second, third twice, and fourth.
A total of 73 players played on these five teams, some for two or three seasons. Defenceman and St. Marys native Brett Petrie was a key member of four of these teams.

Following the March 1 Alumni celebration, the current Lincs team will host Western Conference rival London Nationals at 7:30 p.m.
