Pat Powers named new Lincs’ GM

The St. Marys Lincolns are pleased to announce that Pat Powers has been named the team’s new General Manager. Powers, 47, previously served as General Manager and Head Coach of the London Nationals from 2016-21, during which time he led the team to three consecutive Western Conference Championships and two time Sutherland Cup Final appearances. Since 2021, he has served as an Amateur Scout for the OHL’s Kingston Frontenacs.

Powers’ experience with the GOJHL dates back to 1992 when he broke into the then-Western Junior B Hockey League as a defenceman with the Strathroy Blades and later with Petrolia Jets. He then played four years with St. Thomas University in New Brunswick before turning professional in 1999. After retiring from playing competitive hockey in 2006, he joined the coaching ranks as an assistant with the coach with the London Nationals. Advancements in his career soon followed, with positions as Head Coach of the University of Western Ontario (OUA regular season champs 2013, Queen’s Cup Champs 2009), St. Thomas Stars and St. Thomas University before re-joining the Nationals in 2015.

Please join us in welcoming Pat to St. Marys.
